Tips for Pokemon Trainers #pokemongo

Are you out to be the very best Pokemon trainer, like no one ever was?

If you’re playing Pokemon GO like many other trainers, you may be venturing off into the great outdoors for hours on end working through a steady influx of Drowzees and Weedles. Pokemon GO is great – and it betters your mental health too. Many people have reported improvements in depression and anxiety after downloading the game.

However, even the best Pokemon trainer can get sunburned. Especially if you’ve been indoors since Pokemon was a black-and-white Gameboy game, you are at risk for a bad sunburn.

Ask a dermatologist today!

My advice: make room beside your Pokedex and assortment of Pokeballs for some sunscreen that is at least SPF 30, broad spectrum, and water resistant. Reapply it at least every two hours. If your skin gets wet while you are off chasing Squirtles, you will need to apply it more frequently. If you can, wear a hat. Ash’s baseball cap is okay, but a wide brimmed hat is even better. Finally, try to avoid the sun between peak hours of 10am – 3pm. Follow these simple steps and your spot in the Pokemon Hall of Fame awaits!
